The Staff team is led by the Home Manager Mrs. Evonne Robinson RMA.
Mrs. Robinson has both depth and breadth of experience in the care of residents and management of care homes in a variety of settings, spanning some 16 years. Her qualifications include Registered Managers Award Level 4 Care Home Management, she is a member of Chartered Institute of Management. She has a proven track record in managing high care standards and her experience includes elderly residential care and elderly residential dementia care.
Evonne’s lead team is comprised two team leaders, seven senior care assistants all with extensive experience in care delivery and NVQ and/or Nursing qualifications.
The main focus of the home is to provide excellent quality care to the people we support by having well trained and motivated staff and a therapeutic and homely environment. The home has concentrated in establishing a staff group who understand the needs and emotions that dementia can raise and be able to help the residents enjoy their time with us. We also offer support and advise for families and friends of people suffering from a dementia type illness. Families are able to access awareness training to assist their understanding of their loved ones dementia journey.
Training for all staff is a high priority, and after initial induction training, all staff undergo essential training in Fire, First Aid, Food Handling and Hygiene, Infection Control, Protection of Vulnerable Adults, Care Planning, “Advanced Dementia Training” – this is run by the Dementia Friends Association. All staff are also required to undertake a relevant vocational qualification.
